Works with and reports to Festival Coordinator
Timeframe: May to October
Summary: Works collaboratively with a team to prepare for admissions of the festival. During the weekend of the festival the Admissions Coordinator will be onsite to make sure the volunteers have what they need.
Tasks:
Work with Volunteer Coordinator to ensure sufficient volunteers
Assess, with team, best practices for admissions
Ensure bracelets are ordered in advance
Determine the number of attendees including volunteers and guests
Onsite:
Be onsite during Festival hours (does not include early entry for workshops)
Work with fellow Coordinators to ensure admissions run smoothly
Talk and meet with admissions volunteers during the festival
Prepare front entrance
Work with Volunteer Coordinator in preparing volunteer Information Binder
Required knowledge and skills:
Excellent organizational and logistical skills
Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Possess excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work well with teams under pressure

Works with and reports to Ag End Coordinator (currently Anna Hunter)
Timeframe: July to September
Summary: The Ag End Assistant will assist in executing all agriculture-related programming during the Manitoba Fibre Festival, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees, vendors, and exhibitors. This role requires hands-on work with animals, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication to support a diverse range of activities.
Tasks:
Liaise with Ag End Coordinator in advance of Festival to go over event schedule and plans.
Onsite:
Assist with set up and take down of the agricultural exhibition
Assist with unloading and loading of livestock, straw, tables/chairs, signage and other demonstration areas
Work with vendors and demonstrators during vendor set up.
Coordination of ag programming events, including announcements/introductions, assisting presenters with set-up
Ensure vendors and animal exhibitors know where water/feed/supplies are and assist if needed.
Vendor support during festival.
General Ag-end support during the festival (ie. helping guide visitors through the exhibit, answering questions)
Requirements:
Be onsite during the festival from Thursday - Saturday (not a vendor)
Be comfortable around livestock (previous experience is not required)
Be comfortable lifting and moving 50lbs (ie. hay bale)
Willing to work with volunteers and ag end coordinator

Timeframe: April to September
Summary: The Demonstrations Coordinator will work in similar capacity to the Vendor Coordinator, organizing and supporting the various volunteer demonstrators who participate in the Festival. There will be preparatory tasks as well as on-site responsibilities and follow-ups to ensure that demonstrators have everything they need for a great experience.
Tasks:
Email invitation to previous demonstration and education display organizers
Seek out new organizations for consideration
Work on layout
Follow up with demonstrators after the festival
Onsite:
Be onsite for set-up
Work with volunteer team to ensure that demonstrators’ needs are met
Required knowledge and skills:
Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Possess excellent problem-solving skills

Works with and reports to the Festival Coordinator
Timeframe: February to October
Summary: Works collaboratively with a team to release vendor applications, review vendor applications, and communicate with vendors leading up to the festival with the help of the Festival Coordinator. During the weekend of the festival the Vendor Coordinator will be onsite with the Festival Coordinator to make sure the vendors have what they need. This position cannot be held by a vendor
Tasks:
Prepare and promote vendor applications
Seek out new vendors to increase market diversity
Review applications
Regular email communication with vendors
Provide information for market floor plan
Onsite:
Be onsite during vendor set up
Work with Volunteer Coordinator to ensure vendor needs are met during the festival
Talk and meet with vendors during the festival
Follow up with vendors (thanks, feedback)
Required knowledge and skills:

Timeframe: February to October
Summary: Works collaboratively with a team to prepare volunteer application form, review volunteer applications, and communicate with volunteers leading up to the festival. During the weekend of the festival the Volunteer Coordinator will be onsite to make sure the volunteers have what they need. Experience as a volunteer coordinator is an asset.
Tasks:
Prepare and promote volunteer applications
Review applications
Prepare volunteer schedules following consultation with other Coordinators about Festival needs
Regular email communication with volunteers
Prepare volunteer Information Binders
Onsite:
Be onsite during vendor set up with Volunteers
Work with fellow Coordinators to ensure volunteer needs are met during the festival
Talk and meet with volunteers during the festival
Prepare rest area and snacks for volunteers
Follow up with volunteers
