Join our Market as a Vendor

Vendor applications will be open from March 25 to May 10, 2024.

The Manitoba Fibre Festival market specializes in natural fibres. This includes fleeces and yarns, high quality crafts made with wool, alpaca, silk, cotton, linen and more; as well as tools for fibre artists and supplies for fibre farmers. We may include other items that we believe to be of interest to Festival visitors but our primary focus is on natural fibres and the fibre arts.

Over 2000 very focussed and enthusiastic shoppers visited our 2023 Festival, and the interest is growing. Vendors enjoy interacting with this engaged and well-informed audience. Vendors also comment on how well our volunteers look after them during the market.

The Vendor Market is an important element of our annual Festival.  It shares space with a variety of craft demonstrations and activities from sheep shearing to lace making; including pens of sheep and alpacas. The relaxed atmosphere encourages people to sit and visit between shopping, watching demonstrations or taking classes.

The Festival receives more applications than we can accommodate each year. Our goal in choosing vendors is to create a diverse market that will inspire our visitors while highlighting natural fibres and the fibre arts.  The great majority of our vendors live in Manitoba, and we are proud to promote local producers and artisans. We also include a few businesses from further afield who can bring something unique to the market.

Mission:

The Manitoba Fibre Festival creates an environment that brings together producers and crafts people to build up and support a growing fibre arts industry and community in Manitoba.

Intention:

We take pride in offering a friendly, supportive venue for learning new skills, for creative collaboration, and for celebrating local resources.

We value diversity and accessibility. At our events everyone is welcomed, accepted and respected; regardless of your age, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, race, ability, national or ethnic origin, political or religious belief or non-belief.
